1. An arm of the World Bank approved the lending of Rs. 475 crore ($75 million) to the Andhra Pradesh Government for implementing a rural growth project. The fund from International Development Association (IDA) will be used for implementing the Rural Inclusive Growth Project (RIGP), aimed at enhancing agricultural incomes of small/marginal farmers and ensuring increased access to services related to health, nutrition, sanitation and social entitlements.
विश्व बैंक की एक इकाई ने आंध्र प्रदेश सरकार को ग्रामीण विकास परियोजना के कार्यान्वयन के लिए 475 करोड़ रपये (7.5 करोड़ डालर) का ऋण देना अनुमोदित कर दिया है। अंतरराष्ट्रीय विकास संघ (आईडीए) से मिलने वाली इस राशि का इस्तेमाल ग्रामीण समावेशी वृद्धि परियोजना (आरआईजीपी) के कार्यान्वयन में किया जाएगा। इस परियोजना का मकसद छोटे व सीमान्त किसानों की आमदनी बढ़ाना, स्वास्थ्य, पोषण, साफ-सफाई व सामाजिक लाभ तक पहुंच बढ़ाना है।
2. Haitian President Michel Martelly named veteran politician Evans Paul as new prime minister to lead a new government, as he seeks to defuse a crisis over long-delayed elections. Laurent Lamothe resigned from the post earlier this month in the face of repeated calls for him to quit over the failure to hold legislative elections for the past three years.

5. Ukrainian Parliament adopted a bill that enables the country to join North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). This bill was adopted by 303 to eight votes. Ukraine dropped the non-aligned status to join NATO as in 2010 Ukraine adopted non-aligned status. Non-aligned status prevents states from joining any military alliances.

10. In what appears to be a straight competition for influence with India, China has increased its official aid to Nepal by more than five times. China is giving aid to Nepal to develop infrastructure in the landlocked nation. Chinese aid to the Himalayan nation will rise from the present level of $24 million to $128 million in 2015-16. The announcement came after talks between Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi and his Nepali counterpart Mahendra Bahadur Pandey in Kathmandu.
